KeniaAnn did a mud run with her friend in the spring but couldn't talk Ty into doing it. Well as you can see, he thought it looked like so much fun that he decided to do it with her over labor day weekend! It was so much fun! We had a fun group and we all really got into getting each other as muddy as we could! We had to wash our hair several times to get all that yucky mud out! This just may become and annual event for us!
KeniaAnn ran Ragnar this year. It is a relay race from Logan to Park city, almost 200 miles. It was so much fun! These are just some of the pictures from the race. The teams are made up of 12 people and 2 vans. It starts on Friday morning and ends on Saturday afternoon. They each run 3 times at all different times of the day and night. Not much sleep and not very healthy eating! But so much fun and worth the exhaustion and soreness! Can't wait to do it again! We had the ragnar symbol spray painted on our calves. Geesh, Annie, have you ever heard of a spray tan! Yikes, scary!!

KeniaAnn ran the Ogden half marathon with her brother. It was such a beautiful day. It had been raining all week up until the race, couldn't have asked for better weather to run in! They finished within a minute of each other! They are doing another half in August and KeniaAnn really wants to beat her brother! She'll be training hard this summer! The last picture is of her getting ready for the race, you can just see the excitement in her face...right! More so at the end! So glad to be done running!!!
This is at the museum in Park City. Ty loves fire trucks so we had to get a picture of this really old one!
In the basement of the museum was Park City's first jail. It did not look like a fun place to be. The cells were tiny! They told a story about a couple who stayed the night there on their wedding night! Not a very nice joke if you ask me!
Park City was a mining town and the car that KeniaAnn is sitting in was the train that went in and out of the mines. Later it was used as a ski lift! It took skiers into the mines and up to the top, it didn't last long because it was so cold and water would drip onto them! Not fun!
The elevator that Ty is standing in is one that the miners used. They said that you had to be so careful to keep your hands, feet, and head in because it is so tight and people did lose hands or something else that they would have liked to keep attached to their body! Yikes!!
Doesn't Ty fit right in with those miners!!?
We had a nice little getaway weekend in the Park City, Utah area! We took four days to just hang out together and do the things we love doing. The weather was even kind enough to cooperate for the most part! You never know what kind of weather you're going to get in Utah in May! We did a little biking, golfing, walking around the shops, we even stopped in a museum of Park City! The one day that we planned on hiking was the one day it decided to rain and snow! Well, we didn't get a hike in on this trip! Oh well, next time! We had so much fun!

We went up to Idaho to visit KeniaAnn's parents last weekend for Easter. We had such a great time. The whole family wasn't able to make it but we were glad that her bother and his cute little family were there, holidays are always more fun with children around! We stayed up late every night playing games and eating too much Easter candy, it was great! Those cute boys were so fun to play with, unfortunately one of them was pretty sick the whole time, poor little guy. so he wasn't up to much, but it was still fun to try and get a smile out of him. We sure love those guys! It's always great when we get to hang out with family.
The weather was nice enough to have the Easter egg hunt outside! YAY! Maybe spring really is coming! The boys (our nephews) had so much fun finding the eggs that their dad, grandpa, and Ty so cleverly hid in the yard. It was fun to watch and grandpa couldn't help but go be a part of the fun and help the little guys out! We sure missed the rest of the family, but we had a lot of fun.
While we were visiting KeniaAnn's family for Easter weekend we went to a few antique stores with KeniaAnn's mom. It was a lot of fun and we saw some really cool things. Ty was, as always, looking for cool old tools! KeniaAnn and her mom liked looking at all the old furniture and dolls. We found this high backed chair and thought it looked like a king's throne so we thought it would be a funny picture of Ty looking so serious in a throne! Doesn't he look so majestic!? :)

Our sweet little niece came to see us yesterday, along with her parents! KeniaAnn's parents were staying with us because her brother blessed his baby. It was a fun family weekend. KeniaAnn and our niece were hanging out together watching "Tangled". Such a great movie. Later on she snuggled up with Ty to eat her jam sandwich. She's not usually so sure about guys, but she warmed right up to Ty! She sure is a little princess! She kept taking us by the hand and saying "mon" (come on) and leading us to the other room to play with her! What a sweetheart!
Tyler is the best husband in the world! He is so sweet! This is a note that he left me in the shower the other morning. He wrote it in bath tub crayons! Yes, we do have those and they are FUN! Anyway, I kept finding more love notes all day, everywhere he knew that I would look! On my treadmill, in my running log, on the mirror and hand mirror, in my purse on my blow dryer....He is the best, I am the luckiest girl ever!
The morning after the birthday party we ran a 5k race together! Good thing we ate at the Olive Garden the night before so we could fill up on pasta! The race was a fund raiser for the Huntsman Cancer Center for cancer research. When we woke up that morning it was snowing so we weren't sure we still wanted to do it and figured the money was going to a good cause so we didn't mind skipping it, but as you can see, we just couldn't skip it! We're so hardcore! :) It actually felt really good and it turned out to be a lot of fun. We also both got our best 5k times!

Ty was excited to participate in a pinewood Derby for grown ups! It was awesome because there were NO RULES!! So he got a little creative! His is the blue one, it is made out of a hairspray can. He used compressed air for fuel and it was super fast! Someone else had a similar idea (the bottom one in the picture) but I think Ty's was better! :) He had so much fun and it was so fun for me to watch him, he was like a little cub scout again! So cute!
